Britt (she/her) has always been passionate about movement, spending almost 20 years training in ballet and contemporary dance. She began her yoga journey 2013 seeking rest and refuge from her post-art grad existential crisis and finding the happy habit of moving for joy and honouring rest and reset.
Seeking community and connection, she completed her teacher training with GOODBODYFEEL (Hamilton, On) in 2018 under Robin Lacambra, a movement training rooted in inclusivity, self-care for community care and anti-oppression work. She has since taken workshops in Sharing Privilege and LGBTQ2SA+ Inclusivity through GBF. Some proceeds from her classes will be going toward Hamilton Center for Civic Inclusion. She is currently taking YOGA DETOUR training with Cecily Milne.
Her classes are yoga-informed Pilates, balancing heat and release, spice and softness. She is passionate about creating “choose your own adventure” classes that are accessible for all bodies set to feel-good playlists (she’s been known to throw in a 2 minute dance break). She is inspired by creating targeted ritual flows that focus on the “why” behind each posture to cultivate strength, mobility and stillness pairing playfulness with deep feels.
Off the mat, she is a hospitality ninja passionate about pastry baking, delicious food and wine. Looking forward to breathing deep, moving and shaking with the ALIVE community.
