Jessika has always had a passion for human movement and has been practicing yoga for 10 years. During her time in university, Jessika came to yoga as a means to stay active in her changing body and find a sense of peace and calmness in her mind. In 2016, Jessika went on to become a 200-hour certified yoga instructor through the I Love Yoga Maya School in Mexico with training in Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin. In 2019, she became a certified Pilates instructor.
After multiple injuries, she realized that something was missing from her movement practice and started strength training. She has found that the integration of multiple movement modalities including functional movement and strength have enhanced her practice, which she hopes to bring to her students. Jessika is currently studying to become an occupational therapist and physiotherapist assistant at Humber College.
Personal Mantra: Move your body, change your mind.
